Live Oak Bank is seeking a Data Engineer Intern to help drive strategic decisions by providing clean, well-organized data that supports analytics, reporting, and machine learning processes. This role will contribute to defining and producing structured data sets that enhance customer engagement and inform next best actions through analytics.
Requirements
- Basic experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python), Data Querying languages (e.g., SQL)
- Basic experience with CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., GitLab, GitHub)
- Knowledge of basic statistical analysis
- Experience in statistical analysis and machine learning preferred
Responsibilities
- Discover, integrate, and standardize data from a variety of data sources.
- Build automated data pipelines with modern data stack tooling to enable business intelligence.
- Integrate changes with CI/CD automation to ensure system stability with complete monitoring and alerting.
- Enable high data quality within data pipelines through data completeness and validity tests.
- Work across engineering and analytics teams to provide up to date, meaningful data that drives decision making.

- Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program such as Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field
