FTI is looking to solve the problem of needing sophisticated technology capabilities and innovating with purpose, using modern technology to provide scalable solutions to drive their business forward. The internship program aims to develop skills and capabilities needed for entry-level, full-time employees within the Information Technology field.
Requirements
- Knowledge and use of RDBMS tools such as SSMS.
- Basic experience with SQL.
- Knowledge of Power BI.
- Understanding of relational databases, including PaaS and managed instances.
- Awareness of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load).
Responsibilities
- Works closely with Digital Analyst and Data Business Partner to analyze existing dashboards, map, and document the data source (reverse engineer).
- Reviews and learns our existing SQL standards and best practices.
- Compares legacy data sources to our current Cloud data warehouse and document gaps.
- Shifts and lifts on-prem data source loads to our Cloud data warehouse.
- Creates new dashboards or port existing dashboards to utilize Cloud data sources.
- Learns about various roles within Information Technology that include Application Development, System Management, Network Management, and Project Management.
- Learns fundamental business concepts to grow overall business acumen.
Other
- Currently enrolled in a Technical College or Undergraduate (Bachelor’s Degree) program. Program of study should be focused in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management, or equivalent.
- Preference will be given to candidates in their 2nd year of schooling or above.
- Travel: 0-5%
- Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Team members should expect to be in the office 3 days or more each week.
