Huntington Bank is looking to drive technology and metadata operation standards for data governance and delivery solutions, improve metadata management operations, and support data users' business needs by transforming their data strategy.
Requirements
- 4+ years of related experience working with data, of hands-on experience working with metadata and reference data frameworks, and experience in metadata and/or data quality monitoring
- Demonstrated experience with data management concepts including data governance, data quality, master data management, data lineage, metadata, and reference data management
- Demonstrated technical competency of organizing and facilitating problem solving in a group environment
- Knowledge of data, metadata, and reference data management principles
- Knowledge of business analysis and process engineering
- Ability to think conceptually and abstractly
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assist in the maintenance of data in and continuous Improvement of the metadata and reference data repository.
- Update areas of the metadata and reference data repository where appropriate based on input from technical or business stakeholders
- Use business acumen and functional stakeholder input to understand data needed for process enablement, to locate the needed data, and to translate to the right measures at the right granularity to answer the question being asked with appropriate presentation.
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders with finding answers to metadata and reference data questions generated through normal business operations.
- Collaborate with business and IT colleagues to define and document data and metric definitions.
- Partner with Data Curators and Trustees to understand business rules behind available data to enable proper interpretation for metrics.
- Help manage ongoing data cleansing and harmonization of metadata and reference data for internal databases.
