Southwire Company, LLC is looking to enhance data quality, integrity, and usability across its technology systems by supporting initiatives related to data governance.
Requirements
- Experience in systems thinking and process management
- Proven working experience in a team environment
- Strong organization, planning and analytical skills
- Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Experience with SAP platforms (including SQVI and Info Steward)
- Understanding of financial controls
- Familiarity with master data frameworks
Responsibilities
- Analyze day-to-day data workflows and support special projects focused on data quality and governance
- Run and refine data validation rules in SAP to detect anomalies and bad data entries
- Assist in root cause analysis and develop action plans to mitigate recurring data issues
- Utilize Info Steward and SQVI queries to assess data accuracy and completeness
- Support the development of data governance frameworks for SAP functional or sub-functional areas
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand the impact of data elements and ensure alignment with business needs
- Help prepare exception reports and contribute to the distribution and resolution of data quality issues
Other
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar programs.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Intern assignment is generally 10-12 weeks, and co-op assignment is generally 16-18 weeks
- Rising senior interns and co-ops are considered for full-time employment opportunities.
