Southwire Company, LLC is looking to enhance data quality, integrity, and usability across its technology systems, and is seeking a Data Governance Intern to support these initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience with SAP platforms (including SQVI and Info Steward)
- Knowledge of financial controls and master data frameworks
- Familiarity with data validation rules and root cause analysis
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and principles
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with systems thinking and process management
Responsibilities
- Analyze day-to-day data workflows and support special projects focused on data quality and governance
- Run and refine data validation rules in SAP to detect anomalies and bad data entries
- Assist in root cause analysis and develop action plans to mitigate recurring data issues
- Utilize Info Steward and SQVI queries to assess data accuracy and completeness
- Support the development of data governance frameworks for SAP functional or sub-functional areas
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand the impact of data elements and ensure alignment with business needs
- Help prepare exception reports and contribute to the distribution and resolution of data quality issues
Other
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar programs
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Proven working experience in a team environment
- Strong organization, planning and analytical skills
