SouthState is looking to transform raw data into actionable insights that enable business value by hiring a Data Intelligence Analyst to take ownership of all tasks and challenges in the operation of their assigned position and provide leadership in a variety of capacities to ensure effective delivery and execution of Data Intelligence objectives.
Requirements
- Proficiency in data tools including data catalogs, data quality solutions, and BI platforms such as Power BI.
- Proficiency in SQL or data platforms such as Snowflake for querying databases and developing reports/dashboards.
- Ability and willingness to learn new and emerging technologies such as BI tools and artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Develop reports and dashboards in relevant BI tools as needed to support Data Intelligence use cases and/or program reporting needs.
- Partner with IT, Information Security, Risk Management, and Privacy teams, as appropriate, to ensure data governance processes and projects align with standards and/or regulatory requirements of the respective area.
- Develop a working knowledge of the Bank’s organizational structure, operations, product and service offering, and data architecture including data sources, data flows, and control points and document where appropriate.
- Assess usability and fit for purpose of data in scope for prioritized Data Intelligence use cases.
- Support business lines with testing and validation efforts of deliverables from prioritized Data Intelligence use cases.
- Support adoption of the Data Intelligence tools, solutions, and processes.
- Manage projects, where appropriate, in accordance with the Bank’s established project lifecycle process to include but not limited to developing and executing project plans, roadmaps, schedules, business requirements, and testing strategies.

- Promote the value of the Data Intelligence Program and influence a data-enabled culture.
- Work with business lines to identify and document requirements for prioritized Data Intelligence use cases.
- Elevate data-related issues, risks, and gaps and recommend solutions to the Director of Business Initiatives and/or Data Intelligence Committee.
