The Ohio State University's Hematology Tissue Bank is looking to solve the problem of managing, maintaining, and analyzing critical data associated with tissue collection, processing, storage, and distribution.
Requirements
- Experience with LIMS, REDCap, or equivalent systems
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, Tableau)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, histopathology, hematology and biospecimen handling
- Familiarity with data privacy and regulatory standards
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Experience with data management, preferably in a biobanking, tissue repository, or clinical research setting
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences, Health Informatics, Data Science, or related field
Responsibilities
- managing, maintaining, and analyzing critical data associated with tissue collection, processing, storage, and distribution
- ensuring data accuracy, regulatory compliance, best practices, clinical annotations, and quality assurance with a clinical research focus
- supporting the operations of the Hematology Tissue Bank
- maintaining and analyzing data associated with tissue collection, processing, storage, and distribution
- ensuring data privacy and regulatory standards
- performing data analysis using tools such as SQL, Excel, and data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, Tableau)
- managing and maintaining LIMS, REDCap, or equivalent systems
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences, Health Informatics, Data Science, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in data management, preferably in a biobanking, tissue repository, or clinical research setting
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check
- A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process
