Electric Boat is looking to solve the problem of developing and maintaining processes, in-house applications, reports, and dashboards to support Planning and other departments.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in one of the following computer programming languages: Java, Python, SQL, R, PowerShell or equivalent scripting language
- Knowledge of advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, charts, and macros/VBA
- Knowledge of database management with SQL or equivalent
- Experience in Data Visualization with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
- Must have worked as a programmer within the past four (4) years or graduated from college within the past four (4) years
Responsibilities
- Specification development, database development, application programming, query writing, and creation of reports and charts/dashboards.
- Assessment of schedule quality and planning data integrity through integrated reporting
- Converting customer requirements into clear programming specifications, test scripts and training materials.
- Understand database fundamentals with the ability to create, modify and execute queries.
- Analyze Planning data and advocate for corrective measures where required
Other
- Bachelor's degree by December 2025 in one of the following: Management/Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science/Engineering, Related technical degree (BA / BS)
- Four (4) years of programming or project management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills that would allow for successful interactions with all levels of management
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and complete all tasks assigned
- Adapts quickly and easily to changing priorities
