Electric Boat is looking to solve the problem of effective data management in construction resource planning, workload forecasting, and strategic sourcing profile reporting/profile management.
Requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including proficiency with formulas, pivot tables, and charts
- Experience in Project Management principles, including Earned Value Management (EVM), Critical Path Method (CPM), Project Evaluation Review Technique (PERT), and Just-In-Time (JIT) Manufacturing
- Experience with Microsoft Excel VBA programming
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) standards
- Knowledge of database fundamentals
- Ability to create, modify and execute queries
- Proficiency in MS Excel
Responsibilities
- Provide analytical evaluations and recommendations relative to EVM or manpower requirements
- Provide various manpower scenarios to identify impact of potential program or project changes
- Update, maintain, and modify phasing profiles to show impacts on facility manpower
- Assessment of schedule quality and planning data integrity through integrated reporting
- Analyze planning data and advocate for corrective measures where required
- Use knowledge of EVM to inform recommendations to update manpower EAC, and projections of workload and staffing
- Understand database fundamentals with the ability to create, modify and execute queries
Other
- Associate’s degree in Business or Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Estimating, Finance, Program Office, Purchasing, Contracts, Engineering, Operations, Planning, or Project Management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required to successfully interact with multiple departments and all levels of management
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and complete all tasks assigned
- Good interpersonal skills are required to facilitate collaboration across departments
