The Boeing Company is seeking a Data Quality Subject Matter Expert to lead the strategy and execution of data quality initiatives to ensure trusted, accurate, and timely information across Boeing’s aviation systems.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in working with Data Quality or Data Cleansing activities
10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related function within aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
10+ years of experience with data pipeline tools and Extract Transform Load (ETL) services
Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Great Expectations, Talend, Informatica, Ataccama, Collibra quality modules, etc.)
Experience with data governance, data modeling, and master data management concepts
Experience with operationalize ML/AI‑based anomaly detection for data quality
Experience with stakeholder management and communication across technical and non‑technical teams
Responsibilities
Define and implement enterprise data quality framework, standards, and processes (profiling, rules, thresholds, reconciliation, remediation)
Develop and manage data quality metrics, SLAs, dashboards, and automated monitoring for critical aviation datasets (engineering data, telemetry, supply chain, HR, CDRL deliverables)
Collaborate with Data Governance SME to ensure classification and custody inform quality controls and remediation priorities (e.g., ITAR/GTC‑controlled datasets)
Design and implement data‑validation rules, transformation checks, and reconciliation processes across ETL/ELT pipelines and data stores
Work with engineering, analytics, and platform teams to instrument data pipelines for observability (lineage, provenance, completeness, timeliness)
Establish incident and remediation workflows: notify data owners, track tickets, and verify corrective actions; integrate with change control for production fixes
Lead root‑cause analysis for recurring quality failures and drive permanent fixes with engineering and program teams

10+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior management, customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
