Deloitte AI & Engineering team seeks to transform technology platforms, drive innovation, and help make a significant impact on clients' success by reimagining and reengineering operations and processes. The Data Scientist will drive R&D initiatives to advance artificial intelligence for a defense intelligence mission customer, focusing on developing POCs and MVPs leveraging NLP, generative AI, and agentic AI.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Python
- 3+ years of experience in executing data science methodologies using common programming/scripting languages
- Displays both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues in AI and Data Science
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and apply cutting-edge GenAI and AgenticAI methods to solve complex, real-world problems
- Guide federal clients with high autonomy in AI strategy and development, including understanding agency needs, performing exploratory data analysis, building and validating models, and deploying models into both on-prem and cloud environments
- Iterate on and/or create repeatable, reusable processes and scalable data systems that meet technical and deployment challenges
- Maintain and uphold data science best practices on new methodologies, technologies, industry trends, and open source packages
- Work cross-functionally with other scientists & data engineers, federal account manager and leadership to help ensure project delivery and success
- Maintain and uphold data science best practices by staying current with new GenAI/AgenticAI methodologies, technologies, industry trends, and open source packages.
Other
- Act as an AI thought leader, including creating whitepapers, presentations, executive briefings, reports, and other materials to support AI solutions and services
- Act as a subject matter expert to GPS clients and global AI partner ecosystem
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required
- Ability to work on-site in Tampa, FL 5 days per week
- Prior professional services or consulting experience
- Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
