RGA seeks to implement and deploy predictive modeling solutions and commercial applications for both RGA internal and external clients across the globe to make financial protection accessible to all

Requirements

  • working with predictive modeling and machine learning tools (Python and/or R)
  • working with machine learning algorithms (GLM, Decision Trees, Time Series, Regression, and/or NLP)
  • developing data engineering pipelines using SQL, Python, or comparable data transformation technologies
  • developing applications and Application Programming Interface (API) endpoints to enable access to Machine Learning and Statistical models
  • building scripts to manage data pipelines utilizing one of the shells available through the Linux/UNIX command line
  • building and delivering data pipeline and modeling solutions utilizing AWS resources and services (Lambda, Elastic MapReduce (EMR), Simple Storage Service (S3), SageMaker, DynamoDB, and/or Identity and Access Management (IAM))
  • building and calling Deployment automation pipelines using CI/CD technology (Jenkins and/or Bamboo)

Responsibilities

  • work with other Information Technology (IT) resources to operationalize and support predictive models, data pipelines and dashboards in Cloud infrastructure
  • work on data understanding, manipulating, and cleaning to ensure the data quality and integrity for effective modeling
  • communicate critical findings from analyses to the predictive team members and division's senior management team
  • implement and prepare data science models for access by internal and external consumers, including code restructuring and development of the API interface/protocol
  • develop and enhance statistical and machine learning models for mortality, morbidity, persistency, fraud, consumer, response and other insurance applications
  • support the development of commercial applications of predictive models for use in underwriting, claims, experience studies, risk management and projections
  • complete the full spectrum of data analysis on provided data sets, including statistical analysis plans and database schema design, perform data cleansing and create new insights and knowledge of the data

Other

  • at least a master’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Information Systems Management, Statistics, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative field
  • at least two (2) years of experience in a role involving the development of Machine Learning, Statistical or other similar Predictive Models
