The Disney Advertising Sales organization is looking for a Data Science Grad Intern to support its Data & Measurement Sciences group in integrating complex datasets, creating and optimizing audience classification models, and publishing audience attributes across ad-serving endpoints.
Requirements
- Course or project-based experience using analytical software to manipulate data (SQL, Python)
- Course or project-based work using basic data engineering concepts (ETL, ELT)
- Course or project-based experience in machine learning concepts and applications (supervised and unsupervised Learning, feature engineering, model evaluation)
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow and Google Cloud Platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage)
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a technical audience
Responsibilities
- Lead a project end-to-end, including maintenance and improvement of scalable ML tools and data products
- Collaborate in the maintenance and improvement of feature stores, model registry, ground truth management, and training and inference pipelines
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support various projects across the Data & Measurement Science team
Other
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
- Fully available from M-F, 40 hours each week for the entire program duration: May/June - August/September 2025 (12 weeks)
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in Santa Monica, CA or New York, NY
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
