National Interstate is looking to leverage data analysis and statistical modeling to gain actionable insights and recommendations for business and product performance, identify trends, and improve efficiency through automation.
Requirements
- Prior experience using Python/ R, SQL, and Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the analysis of internal and external data and performs statistical modeling to develop actionable insights and recommendations to management regarding business and product performance
- Develops data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify trends and extract knowledge from large, high dimensional data sets.
- Identifies areas to increase efficiency and automation of data analysis processes.
- May translate business problems/opportunities into technical requirements and data science specifications.
- Assists in creating solutions that enable enhanced business performance and decision making through a range of data preparation, modeling, analysis and/or visualization techniques.
- Assists in using artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop processes automation.
- Participates in researching and applying knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions.
Other
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or Master’s degree pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date ranging from Fall/Winter 2026 to Spring 2027.
- The program is taking place in Summer 2026.
- The role will be expected to work in the Richfield, Ohio office.
