Qorvo is seeking a Data Science Intern to support advanced analytics and AI applications within their Information Technology business group. The intern will work on developing and testing databases and big data processing systems, building agentic AI systems, and automating business processes using AI-driven workflows to solve complex technical challenges in various high-growth market segments.
Requirements
- Experience with Apache Spark, Python and SQL programming
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing, supply chain, and business process is preferred
- Develop and test databases and big data processing systems using SQL and Python within an Apache Spark and Databricks environment, supporting advanced analytics and AI applications.
- Build, integrate, and manage agentic AI systems, including the use of vector databases, agent graph frameworks, and custom AI tools for dynamic, context-aware solutions.
- Distill and automate business processes by designing AI-driven workflows that optimize decision-making, process automation, and knowledge management.
- Unify and curate data from disparate sources, assessing and improving data quality and usability for advanced diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive modeling.
- Implement and maintain automated data and AI pipelines, supporting both traditional data movement/transformations and the orchestration of agentic AI components.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, AI/BI users, application developers, and data scientists to define and refine requirements for AI-driven data and analytics solutions.
- Implement and maintain automated data and AI pipelines, supporting both traditional data movement/transformations and the orchestration of agentic AI components.
- Assist in feature engineering, model deployment, and the integration of AI within business applications to enhance operational efficiency and insight generation.

- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related major
- GPA 3.0 or higher
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment
