Florida Power & Light Company is looking to improve business performance through data science efforts, dashboard development, and risk analysis for the Strategy and Analytics and Credit Risk teams within Revenue Management.
Requirements
- Proficient in data science, analytics, and data investigation using SQL or other database programs languages to obtain actionable insights
- Proficient in Python, R, SAS, or other analytics tools
- Intermediate Python/R or relevant programming language
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL
- Expert in MS Excel
- Developing cloud-based dashboards identifying actionable trends to support business needs
Responsibilities
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining AI based prediction models to improve business performance
- Automation through Python scripting and dashboard development
- Conducting data analysis supporting key business unit initiatives
- Providing data mining support and ad hoc analyses
- Assists department with assigned projects
- Completes challenging projects and assignments
- Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
Other
- Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
- Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- High school grad / GED
- Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
- Effective problem-solving skills, good organizational skills, attention to detail, highly effective oral and written communication skills
