Requirements
- Experience with data analysis tools and languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Power BI, Tableau)
- Exposure to life sciences data such as genomics, proteomics, clinical trial data, EHR, or lab instrument data
- Familiarity with statistical methods used in biological or clinical research
- Experience working with large-scale datasets or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git
Responsibilities
- Analyze structured and unstructured data from diverse sources (e.g., clinical trials, genomics, manufacturing, sales, laboratory instruments)
- Build and evaluate machine learning models for predictive or classification tasks relevant to drug development, diagnostics, or operations
- Perform data wrangling, cleaning, and feature engineering on complex datasets. Develop visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Present findings to the team and potentially broader audiences within the organization
- Assist in designing experiments and analyzing results for research studies
- Document methodologies, workflows, and results in clear and reproducible formats
Other
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work on-site in Torrance, CA
- Eligibility for remote work arrangement
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with scientists, engineers, and IT professionals
