C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking interns to gain hands-on experience in various departments, including Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, to contribute to the company's bottom line and develop professionally.
Requirements
- Utilize GCP BigQuery, Vertex AI, CloudRun, DataProc, and other tools to complete projects
- Proficient with Excel required
- Proficient with Google’s suite of products preferred
Responsibilities
- Work in the Artificial Intelligence /Machine Learning function within Enterprise Data & Innovation team to assist in building, training, and testing machine learning models to address specific business problems
- Conduct data cleaning, preprocessing, and exploratory analysis to support model development
- Utilize GCP BigQuery, Vertex AI, CloudRun, DataProc, and other tools to complete projects
- Collaborate with data engineers, senior data scientists, and BI / Data Analytics teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions
- Assist in daily operations and administrative tasks within the assigned department.
- Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documentation.
- Aid in further enhancing department tools, templates and methodologies
Other
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited university
- In good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or better
- Sophmore standing at the time of the internship
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Able to think outside of the box and solve problems
- Able to work both with a team and be independently successfully
- Able to stay organized and pay close attention to detail
- Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or potentially at any point in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with C &S Wholesale Grocers (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT/CPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status).
