ADB SAFEGATE is looking for a Data Science Leader – Airside 4.0 to drive innovation and solve critical airfield challenges through a data-driven approach.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in data analysis, algorithm development, system modeling, or engineering roles involving technical problem-solving.
- Strong knowledge of engineering and/or physics principles, with the ability to approach problems from a first-principles perspective.
- Proven experience in simulation and modeling techniques to test and validate solutions and predict system behavior under various conditions.
- Familiarity with sensor systems, IoT devices, and data collection/processing methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages (such as Python or MATLAB) for data analysis, algorithm development, and simulation modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and think critically.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Leading the development of Airside 4.0 use cases by understanding customer problems, analyzing data from our systems and sensors, and designing innovative solutions based on first principles.
- Creating and implementing algorithms to extract actionable insights from data and optimize airfield operations, such as improving safety, efficiency, and resource utilization.
- Developing simulation models to test and validate solutions, optimize system performance, and predict outcomes under various scenarios.
- Gaining a deep knowledge of ADB Safegate's products, including sensors, lighting, and guidance systems, and how they interact within the airfield ecosystem.
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing data from airfield systems to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Applying engineering and physics fundamentals to tackle complex, real-world airfield challenges and develop practical, scalable solutions.
- Acting as a subject matter expert in Airside 4.0 technologies, guiding the organization’s technical direction in this area and mentoring other technical team members.
Other
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
- An understanding of airfield operations and/or airport systems is highly desirable.
