Lyft is looking to leverage data to drive product strategy and business outcomes in the Rider New Product & Partnerships team.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field like computer science, statistics, economics, operations research, or engineering
- 6+ years of hands-on technical experience in machine learning, causal inference, or data science
- 4+ years of management experience building and leading data science teams
- Strong track record of using machine learning and data science to improve business outcomes
- Strong track record of guiding teams through unstructured technical problems to deliver business impact
- Skilled at managing cross-functional relationships and communicating with leadership across multiple teams
- Experience with analytics, experimentation, machine learning, and causal inference
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the team to investigate complex problems and identify key drivers of product performance and customer behavior
- Develop clear, insight-driven narratives about our users, translating findings into actionable recommendations
- Influence product roadmaps by forming data-backed perspectives and guiding prioritization decisions
- Design and implement data frameworks to evaluate and prioritize high-impact product initiatives
- Operate effectively at both the strategic and tactical levels, including regular engagement with senior leadership
- Facilitate and foster a data-driven culture and informed decision making and prioritization
- Lead and grow a high-performing team of data scientists with various backgrounds including analytics, experimentation, machine learning, and causal inference

- Hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
