Southern California Edison (SCE) is looking to leverage data science and predictive analytics to turn data into critical information and knowledge for data-informed business decisions, solve complex problems, and enhance business and customer experiences within the Customer Service department.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python, or Scala, SQL, SAS etc.
- Advanced proficiency in machine learning and predictive modeling.
- Database systems: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL.
- Big Data Analytics: Hadoop environment, Hive, Pig or Spark.
- Two or more years of experience working GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and PowerBI.
- Three or more years of experience using machine Learning methods such as deep learning, Bayesian methods, time series analysis, boosting, and bagging.
- Experience developing or deploying Gen AI-based solutions (e.g./ prompt engineering, summarization, text classification, or workflow automation.
Responsibilities
- Build and implement predictive and prescriptive models to improve decision-making.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for AI, machine learning, and data science to address business needs.
- Translate defined business objectives into actionable requirements for AI/ML models.
- Contribute to the design and development of AI/ML models using established techniques and frameworks.
- Apply machine learning algorithms and data mining methods to analyze datasets and generate insights.
- Monitor model performance and support enhancements to maintain accuracy and reliability.
- Develops predictive and prescriptive data models using machine learning, statistical modeling and other advanced techniques to uncover insights that improve data-driven decision making across the organization.
Other
- Work closely with internal clients, Subject Matter Experts, information architects, data engineers, process leads, project/program managers, and other teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Partnering with OU clients to understand business problems, identify opportunities for improvement, and incorporate analytics solutions into business processes.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to support solutions for data-driven business challenges.
