Providence, a renowned healthcare organization, is looking to leverage advanced data science skills to develop, manage, and enhance analytic products supporting healthcare research and operational initiatives.
Requirements
- Proficiency in querying large datasets using SQL, Python, and/or R, along with Jupyter Notebook, NumPy, Pandas, and visualization libraries such as Matplotlib or Seaborn.
- Experience with big data technologies and analysis languages including Spark/PySpark, Snowflake SQL, Scala, SAS, and Azure DataBricks.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and related methods for complex data analysis.
- Proficiency with SciPy, Scikit-learn, Spacy, TensorFlow/Keras, and containerization using Docker.
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records, clinical data, and healthcare standard code sets such as ICD, CPT/HCPCS, LOINC, and OMOP.
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, and related services like Data Factory and DataBricks.
Responsibilities
- Assess customer needs and translate them into strategic data science product roadmaps.
- Lead the design, development, testing, validation, and iteration of data science and analytic products.
- Execute complex data science projects by analyzing large and diverse datasets, including raw, structured, and unstructured data.
- Build predictive models, conduct experimental designs, and develop machine learning algorithms to support healthcare research initiatives.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and other technical teams to establish and maintain the entire project and product lifecycle.
- Ensure data products comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain data privacy and security standards.
- Support the integration of clinical and healthcare data sources, such as Electronic Medical Records and genomic data pipelines.
Other
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in data science or a related discipline.
- At least one (1) year of experience in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, survival analysis, and probabilistic modeling.
