Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working in Data Science roles, with 1+ years experience leading teams
- Experience leading cross-functional projects to completion, managing project timelines and deliverables
- Experience building and deploying models in a production environment
- Strong competency with Python and SQL
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex analyses to technical and non-technical audiences
- People management skills, including mentorship of team members and elevating the skills of the entire team
- Experience with machine-learning and statistical models, experimental design, and causal inference techniques
Responsibilities
- Manage a Data Science team, including project planning, technical leadership, and mentorship
- Work hands-on with the team to design, deploy, and maintain statistical and machine-learning models in business- and customer-facing applications
- Collaborate with Analysts, Engineers, and Product Managers to deliver data solutions
- Drive the strategic roadmap by identifying new opportunities to solve business challenges with modeling
- Translate business needs to technical roadmaps and ensure alignment between technical and business partners
- Continuously validate and improve model performance through iterative testing, tuning, and feature engineering
- Research advancements in AI, data science, and ML to evaluate potential applications of new technology
