The federal agency is seeking to support its enterprise AI and data strategy by designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge machine learning and AI solutions.
Requirements
- Experience in machine learning, AI, and deep learning, including large language models, small language models, embedding models, and natural language processing from designing to prototyping and deploying in production.
- Proficiency in AI frameworks and libraries such as OpenAI, Langchain, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face.
- Understanding of MLOps practices and tools, including AWS Bedrock and SageMaker.
- Technical proficiency in Python and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience working within DevOps practices, including authoring automated unit and system tests, and utilizing standard tools such as Git.
- Experience with AI model development, training, fine-tuning, and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design, solution, and deploy modern, scalable, and cost-efficient AI/ML models and AI solutions to support the agency's mission and AI and Data strategies.
- Conduct research and experimentation on AI technologies, including large language models, small language models, AI agents, and AI agentic workflow.
- Implement MLOps practices for model training, fine-tuning, and optimization.
- Provide technical expertise in AI and machine learning, including natural language processing, information retrieval, summarization, chatbot development, and model performance metrics.

- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- Must be able to attain and retain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Hybrid work environment and must be available to work onsite as necessary.
