EWI is looking for a Data Scientist to help bridge the gap between R&D and manufacturing implementation by developing and deploying new technologies. The role involves working with clients across various industries to solve complex manufacturing challenges using data science.
Requirements
- Python and version control
- Experience with algorithms including big O time estimates
- Experience testing and applying a range of ML/AI approaches
- Ability to interface with manufacturing process experts
- Demonstrated expertise in data modeling including schema development and metadata curation.
- Demonstrated real-world applications of statistics including probability theory. Experience with Bayesian networks preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in sensor interfacing, data logging, sensor interpretation, and controls. Additional experience in human interface development preferred.

- Collaborate with world-leading manufacturing process experts to understand manufacturing challenges in areas such as Arc welding. Experience with Arc Directed Energy Deposition techniques preferred.
