Equifax is looking for a Data Scientist to manipulate large data sets, integrate diverse data sources, data types and data structures into solutions, build experience developing analytical approaches to meet business requirements, which involves translating requests into use cases, test cases, preparation of training data sets and iterative algorithm development.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of analytical experience, including designing and developing predictive models.
- 2+ years of experience with SQL and python or similar programming languages.
- Cloud certification highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Utilize combined knowledge of data structures, analytics, algorithms/models, and strong computer science fundamentals to prepare datasets, conduct analytics, and develop deployable solutions with guidance from more senior resources
- Leverage knowledge of data structures and algorithms to analyze and prepare data for analysis, assembling data from standard and new data sources
- Able to analyze and prepare complex and new data sources and incorporate them into analytical solutions.
- Works on moderate complexity tasks in problems often within multiple business or analytical domains, collaborating with other teams to develop predictive models, risk assessments, fraud detection, recommendation engines, etc.
- Package, summarize and visualize analytical findings and results for management
- Support existing product set - QC efforts and reporting, ad-hoc analysis for clients and client legal/compliance

- This role requires being in either our Alpharetta or Atlanta, Georgia office 3 days/week on Tues - Thurs.

- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent.
