RWJBarnabas Health is looking to solve clinical and non-clinical domain problems by analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, building predictive models, and driving actionable insights.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages such as R, Spark, or Java
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Deep understanding of machine learning, natural language processing NLP, and deep learning techniques, dex, Hugging Face, Vector databases, Embedding models, and Prompting techniques
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and statistical methods, including boosting, generalized linear models, random forests, artificial neural networks, clustering, and decision tree learning
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques
- Experience with notebook-based workflows - Jupyter, R, Spark - and the creation of reusable code packages and libraries
- Strong knowledge of math, probability, statistics, and algorithms, such as linear algebra and Bayesian statistics
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning models to analyze clinical and operational data, providing insights that drive decision-making
- Utilize Generative AI and RAG frameworks to enhance data analysis and predictive modeling capabilities
- Work with structured and unstructured data to identify patterns and recommend improvements in clinical workflows, quality measures, and business processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, administrators, and IT professionals, to align data science initiatives with organizational goals
- Perform data wrangling, feature engineering, and model validation to ensure high-quality outputs
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations in all analytics projects
Other
- Minimum: Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a relevant quantitative Engineering field - Two years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a Master's degree
- Preferred: Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a relevant Engineering field
- 5+ years of experience in data science or AI including ML, GenAI
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare
- Epic certifications in Cogito, Epic badge or certification in Cognitive Computing Platform
