SAIC is seeking a Data Scientist to extract meaningful insights from large, structured, and unstructured data sets to drive decision-making processes and strategic planning across various business units for the Intelligence Community.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and advanced statistics.
- Proven ability to work with large-scale data sets and familiarity with data querying tools.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Experience with AWS cloud computing platforms.
- Proficient in data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
Responsibilities
- The candidate will leverage extensive experience to extract meaningful insights from large, structured, and unstructured data sets.
- In addition, the candidate will leverage their expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning and data visualization.
- The candidate will drive decision-making processes and strategic planning across various business units.
- The candidate will also work closely with customers to understand and participate in changing needs and offer recommendations for resolution based on quantitative analysis.
