Northrop Grumman is seeking a Data Scientist to support the Sentinel program, working with teams to understand analytics and data modeling requirements, and developing analytical solutions to provide program insights.
Requirements
- Proficiency in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries
- Experience managing and maintaining SQL databases
- Experience in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to business and engineering analytics
- Expertise in developing and managing ETL processes
- Advanced proficiency in Python programming for data analysis, manipulation, and automation
- Proficient in using version control systems such as Git for collaborative development
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies for project management
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of talented professionals passionate about the work they do
- Engage with teams across the entire program to understand their analytics and data modeling requirements
- Help architect and build data pipelines connected to multiple program ASoTs
- Apply data engineering processes and procedures to manage infrastructure, storage, and transformation of data to enable scalable and performant analytics
- Develop and publish Tableau server dashboards and visualizations used to inform individuals and leaders across the program
- Apply state of the art data science approaches to develop analytical solutions providing program insights
- Work within an agile framework focused on stakeholder outcomes

- Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need
- Strong communication skills to present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 0 years’ experience; or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
