The Data Scientist plays a key role in our data driven audits and is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of data analysis and visualizations to support the audit plan, including requirements gathering, data validation, analysis execution and results reporting using visualization tools.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of database design, SQL and data warehousing
- Advanced SQL development and optimization background
- Knowledge of data visualization and presentation methods for data analysis and interpretation, including performance of dashboards, generating, managing and delivering presentations and reports capable of yielding insights and actionable results
- Ability to understand business processes to ensure data and information integrity when importing from source systems.
- Writing SQL / 3
- Designing and building analytics tools in Tableau / 2
- Big data analysis / 3
Responsibilities
- Independently write code to extract data from various sources (Terradata, SQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Develop code to manipulate and clean data as needed based on requirements gathered in conjunction with the Manager, Data Science.
- Design and execute data validations and quality checks to ensure complete and accurate populations.
- Design and build visualization solutions with our end users in mind to drive efficiency and effective anomaly identification.
- Refreshing and optimizing existing analytics based on internal and external feedback.
