AAIS is looking to lead predictive modeling efforts and is responsible for all Akur8 usage. The Data Scientist will be responsible for sifting through data to provide business recommendations and implementing insights.
Requirements
- Predictive modeling.
- Experience or familiarity with applications or tools that aid data driven analysis and actuarial work (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, python, Akur8 etc.).
- Strong technical skills in Excel; proficiency in VBA, SAS, SQL, R, python or other database management languages strongly preferred.
- Akur8 experience, a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop business recommendations and analysis of strategies.
- Develop and implement plans, objectives and roadmaps for data driven development projects.
- Develop and maintain Predictive Modeling policies & procedures.
- Research and develop Akur8 use-cases, including developing rating relativities/factors and developing loss costs directly.
- Develop necessary filing materials for Akur8 use-cases.
- Develop Akur8-ready datasets from existing AAIS databases.
- Serve as Product Manager for all Akru8 usage.
Other
- 7+ years of insurance experience and successful completion of ACAS or FCAS.
- Completion of CSPA, ACAS, or FCAS, a plus.
- Management experience, a plus.
- Minimum travel is required for annual all-company gatherings or team design sessions (up to 5% of the time).
