Ballard Spahr is seeking a Data Scientist to enrich their Information Technology team and transform complex data into actionable insights to enhance decision-making processes and contribute to the firm’s strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Proficiency in data analysis and programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like PySpark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Understanding of large language models and big data tools, such as Hadoop and Spark.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, Fabric, or AWS for data storage and processing.
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
- Experience with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript for front-end development.
Responsibilities
- Visualizing data findings using tools such as Power BI to effectively conveying insights to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
- Designing and developing user-friendly front-end solutions utilizing CSS, HTML, and JavaScript, ensuring a positive user experience for data interaction.
- Collaborating with IT and other departments to integrate data solutions with existing systems and platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and data flow.
- Ensuring data integrity and security by adhering to best practices and compliance requirements.
- Providing comprehensive documentation for data processes, models, and analytics reports, while conducting unit and automated testing to guarantee solution quality.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Science, Statistics, or a related field, Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science or analytics.

- Occasional in-office attendance required at the Philadelphia office when requested.
