The Joint Staff J6 Joint Assessment Division (JAD) is seeking to advance Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) data-centricity initiatives and deliver actionable insights to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, directly enhancing Joint Force capabilities.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one data scripting language (Python or R) and experience with data science libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, ggplot2, dplyr)
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and related data technologies
- Familiarity with virtual computing environments (Azure preferred) and modern tech stacks
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, JMP)
- Exposure to other software development languages (e.g., C-Sharp, JavaScript, TypeScript)
Responsibilities
- Develop data modeling processes to support operational analysis
- Design, develop, and implement data processing pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform data from diverse sources
- Extract key events and parameters from raw data to reconstruct operational sequences
- Develop and implement algorithms for event recognition, anomaly detection, and data correction
- Create robust methods for correlating information across disparate systems
- Develop and maintain data quality and governance processes
- Collaborate with data engineers to build scalable and robust data infrastructures on cloud platforms

- Secret Clearance and ability to obtain and maintain TS Clearance
- Current baseline certification meeting IAM-II (CompTIA Security+) or obtain within 6 months of hire
- Capability to lift 40 lbs. to support occasional movement of equipment
- Professional writing and oral presentation skills, MS Office proficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience
