Requirements
- 10+ years of experience applying data science techniques, including machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced statistical modeling.
- Strong technical background in quantitative and computational sciences.
- Expertise with core ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLlib).
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (Python, R; experience with Scala, C++, or Java a plus).
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills; ability to design interpretable and actionable outputs for stakeholders.
- Experience managing end-to-end model development: data preprocessing, feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka) and experiment tracking (MLflow or similar).
Responsibilities
- Partner with IT, business leaders, software engineers, and data engineers to translate complex business needs into data science solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning, statistical, and optimization models to address enterprise-scale challenges.
- Explore and analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, build predictive models, and drive actionable insights.
- Invent new algorithms and approaches for solving data-intensive problems where no standard solutions exist.
- Define and codify best practices, reusable patterns, and scalable model development processes.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering team development and technical excellence.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations.
