Bowhead / UIC Technical Services is looking for a Data Scientist to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), E Department. The role requires analyzing complex data sets to uncover meaningful patterns, develop predictive models, and facilitate decision-making for national defense.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in database management, data warehousing, and analytical tools is essential.
- Proficiency in relational database management systems.
- Ability to create comprehensive reports and dashboards are required.
- Experience working with virtual machines or artificial intelligence applications is highly preferred.
- Strong coding skills, particularly in SQL, along with software development experience, are necessary for success in this role.
- Solid understanding of mathematical reasoning and analytical techniques.
- Familiarity with analytical evaluation methods and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are also required.

- Supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), E Department, this role requires onsite engagement at either the Bowhead office or Navy installation.
- Bachelor's Degree in physics, data science, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level and be a U.S. citizen.
