SURVICE Engineering is seeking a Data Scientist to support their Aberdeen Research Operation, aiming to accelerate careers and become an integral team member within the defense community by applying computational tools, machine learning, and statistical analysis to experimental data.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau.
- Strong foundation in machine learning, data modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with handling complex datasets from experimental or scientific contexts.
- Knowledge of HPC, cloud computing, or distributed systems for large-scale data processing.
Responsibilities
- Leverage data science techniques to design scalable pipelines, analyze complex datasets, and drive data-driven decisions.
- Design and implement robust, automated workflows for processing and analyzing diverse data types.
- Optimize data pipelines to improve efficiency, scalability, and reproducibility.
- Leverage high-performance computing (HPC) or cloud resources to handle large datasets and complex analyses.
- Apply advanced statistical techniques and machine learning models to identify patterns and extract insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine predictive models tailored to research goals.
- Develop novel approaches for feature extraction, combining domain expertise with computational methods.
