Norstella is looking to advance its AI and machine learning capabilities by driving data-driven initiatives and developing AI-enabled microservices to address complex business questions and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing AI/ML applications and delivering data-driven solutions
- Extensive expertise in NLP, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and other state-of-the-art AI/ML techniques
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, along with core data science libraries including Pandas, NumPy, etc.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, computational complexity, and algorithm design
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems in agile environments, with a focus on rapid prototyping
- Proven leadership in managing complex data science projects and mentoring junior team members
- Preferred: Expertise in LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge graphs
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and developers in designing and deploying AI-enabled microservices
- Define reference architectures that incorporate advanced techniques such as code interpretation, LLMs, and secondary models to address complex questions
- Coach team members on architecture best practices, emerging AI/ML technologies, and coding standards
- Stay current with the latest research and developments in AI/ML, and share insights through internal presentations and knowledge sharing sessions
- Serve as a technical expert in areas such as entity resolution, knowledge graphs, search optimization, and retrieval-augmented generation
- Design scalable, efficient, and robust AI solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing systems and workflows
- Collaborate with product leadership to identify, elaborate, and prioritize innovative AI projects aligned with business goals
