MANTECH seeks a Data Scientist to deliver advanced AI-driven data exploitation tools to meet the evolving sensemaking needs of national security and law enforcement missions.
Requirements
- Proven experience with statistical analytics, machine learning, generative AI (prompt engineering, fine tuning, agentic solutions) and knowledge-based methods
- In-depth knowledge of data science methodologies for analyzing structured and unstructured data (e.g., clustering, anomaly detection, trend analysis).
- Knowledge of one or more cloud providers AI/ML services (e.g., Google Cloud) and experience working across environments and on premise.
- Demonstrated expertise in Python and extensive experience with data science frameworks such as scikit-learn.
- Experience with Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., Flowise).
- Proven experience in the development and deployment of machine learning models
- Deep expertise in one or more data science specialties, such as natural language processing, computer vision, or deep learning
Responsibilities
- Tackle technical challenges in data science, including algorithm development, model building, data manipulation, and other related tasks.
- Elicit detailed business problem knowledge from stakeholders and integrate this understanding into the development of algorithms, models, and tools.
- Develop sophisticated data science tools to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends within data.
- Utilize clustering methods and techniques for entity extraction, disambiguation, and resolution to organize and analyze data.
- Effectively communicate methods and findings to a diverse audience, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain currency with the latest advancements in data science and AI methods and applications
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field and 5 years of experience OR a Master's degree and 3 years of experience
- Must have active TS clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including communicating information to a technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and clients, which may involve delivering presentations.
