A leading AI lab is seeking Math and Statistics subject-matter experts to elevate the quality of AI training data and help build foundational AI models from the ground up.
Requirements
- Domain expertise in 1 or more of the following: Foundations, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Number Theory, Topology.
- Education: A Master's or Ph.D. degree from a top-tier university relevant to the domain of Mathematics OR Industry-recognized credentials like IMO/Putnam medalists.
- Experience: Have 3+ years of professional experience in a math-centered role at a reputable institution.
Responsibilities
- Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in your Math domain.
- Create and maintain precise annotation standards tailored to your domain specialty.
- Develop guidelines and detailed rubrics/evaluation frameworks to assess Math reasoning across tasks.
- Design challenging, domain-relevant Math tasks across multiple specializations, and write accurate and well-structured solutions to Math problems.
- Evaluate Math tasks and solutions and provide clear, written feedback.
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in training data.
Other
- Location: Currently living in the US.
- Initial commitment of 18 weeks, with potential to extend based on project needs and performance.
- Ideal commitment of ~40hrs/week with a minimum availability of ~20 hrs/week.
- You'll join calibration calls with the client’s team 2-5x per week.
