INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Principal Security Data Scientist to join their Global Security Detection Engineering team to leverage advanced AI and machine learning techniques to detect, investigate, and respond to sophisticated cyber threats, shaping the strategic capabilities of their security operations.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with the full data science lifecycle, MLOps workflows, and the Python data science stack is essential.
- Deep knowledge of SOC, SIEM, and security best practices, along with scripting or programming skills in relevant languages, is necessary.
- Experience with Splunk Cloud ES and Splunk SOAR (Phantom) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud service providers and understanding of classical machine learning, NLP, high-dimensional data, and time series analysis will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing multi-agent AI systems by leveraging current industry knowledge around AI engineering.
- Researching, developing, implementing, and managing data-driven algorithms, machine learning techniques, and classical statistics for threat detection, behavior analytics, vulnerability assessment, prediction, and prevention.
- Communicating complex data findings and model predictions to non-technical stakeholders through reports and visualizations.
- Staying current with the latest research, developments, and products in AI/ML and cybersecurity to identify new opportunities.
- Provide hands-on solutions, customization, and tuning, along with automation and use case development aligned with stakeholder requirements, including SIEM and SOAR platforms.
- Supporting production-level projects and collaborating with teams across Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, and Incident Response.
- Design and engineer security operations-focused integrations, automations, diagrams, documentation, and threat modeling.
Other
- Over 8 years of experience in security and technical automation, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to creating detection-focused automation and use cases.
- Proven leadership in managing complex projects and guiding team members is required.
- Candidates should hold a master’s or advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Physics, or Engineering.
