Zions Bancorporation is looking for a Data Scientist to deliver insight from data that is actionable and will drive revenue growth, cost reduction, and meet new regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Experience developing and deploying Generative AI applications
- Strong experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms
- Strong Python programming skills (scikit-learn, PyTorch, LangGraph)
- Experience in relational databases (PostgreSQL, Cloud SQL) and vector databases for AI applications
- Experience with major cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS, Azure) for training, deploying and managing ML solutions
- Hands on MLOps experience is highly desirable with an appreciation of end-to-end CI/CD process
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Understanding business objectives and translating them into data-driven solutions
- Discovering, cleaning, and transforming large-scale structured and unstructured data
- Designing, training, and validating machine learning and deep learning models
- Performing advanced statistical and predictive analyses to generate actionable insights
- Implementing Generative AI and LLM-based solutions where applicable
- Designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade ML pipelines and AI applications using MLOps best practices (CI/CD, model monitoring, retraining)
- Leveraging cloud platforms (GCP Vertex AI preferred, AWS, Azure) for scalable model deployment and orchestration
Other
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or other related area of study; Masters degree in same area is preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills – able to present insights clearly to all levels, lead projects, and work in a consultative role
