Steampunk is looking for a seasoned Data Scientist to develop strategies, create ML/AI solutions, and deliver results to solve complex problems
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, R, Scala, Java, or similar language
- Experience using Python to manipulate large data sets
- Experience with DevSecOps, as it applies to data science
- Demonstrated experience with TensorFlow, Keras, or other Deep Learning tools and frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in big data systems including Hadoop, Spark, Scala
- Data visualization skills in Tableau, Power BI, D3, ArcGIS, or similar
- Experience with Git, Bash, Unix commands
Responsibilities
- Experience modeling on structured and unstructured data sets
- Experience with exploratory data analysis
- Experience in feature engineering
- Experience in data visualization
- Experience with Deep Learning methodology and state of the art libraries
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for AI/ML models, including functional, regression, and edge case testing
- Design test cases to evaluate performance, accuracy, bias, fairness, and robustness of AI outputs
Other
- Ability to hold a position of public trust with the US government
- 2-4 years industry experience developing ML/AI solutions and a passion for solving complex problems
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a scientific or technical discipline
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers
- Ability to work in an Agile software development lifecycle
