At T-Mobile, the Data Scientist is responsible for applying machine learning techniques and statistical methods to tackle business problems, building real business value from data.
Requirements
- 2+ years proven experience in predictive modeling, data science, and analysis in an ML engineer or data scientist role.
- 2+ years experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R), data visualization, and developing statistics-based analytics reports.
- Mathematics Calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and probability.
- Proven understanding of Python and SQL coupled with machine learning concepts.
- Gen AI (LLMs)
Responsibilities
- Extract, prepare and model large, sophisticated data sets using a combination of skills, including Gen AI (LLMs), machine learning theory, mathematics, statistics, and programming.
- Perform analytics and statistical analyses on ad hoc business problems.
- Demonstrated ability to define problems in mathematical terms.
- Communicate important information and insights to business leaders using verbal, written, and data visualization skills.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of technical and non-technical business partners on a wide range of challenges.
- Work across the entire machine learning (ML) lifecycle, including problem framing, data collection, exploratory data analysis, model development, deployment, and performance measurement.
