Tubi is seeking a Data Scientist to drive long-term innovation by solving complex and ambiguous problems related to content, product development, personalization, marketing, and operations to shape the future of a global entertainment platform.
Requirements
- Expertise in econometrics, optimization, statistics, causal inference, machine learning, or reinforcement learning
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark with hands-on experience managing large-scale, event-level data
- Extensive experience designing and analyzing controlled experiments and observational studies
- Experience in video streaming, entertainment, or ad-supported media is preferred
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field
- 10+ years of experience in data science, preferably within a consumer technology or media company
Responsibilities
- Define and lead high-impact data science initiatives that influence long-term company strategy and cross-functional priorities
- Develop innovative algorithms and machine learning models to improve personalization, content valuation, and portfolio optimization
- Design, execute, and interpret sophisticated experiments and causal inference studies to measure impact and inform decision-making
- Serve as a technical advisor and mentor to data scientists, engineers, and product teams, promoting best practices in experimentation, modeling, and decision science
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Content, Studio, and Executive teams to embed data-driven insights into all levels of decision-making processes
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and ML Ops teams to enhance data pipelines, feature engineering, and automation workflows for experimentation
- Identify emerging methods, tools, and industry trends to reshape data science applications across the organization

- 10+ years of experience in data science, preferably within a consumer technology or media company
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership
