Sardine is looking to solve the problem of fraud prevention and AML compliance for its clients, including over 300 banks, retailers, and fintech companies worldwide, by utilizing advanced technologies such as device intelligence, behavior biometrics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to proactively stop fraud before it occurs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data science or quantitative modeling, preferably within risk management or fraud detection contexts
  • Proficiency in Python, R, Spark, SQL, or equivalent data analysis and modeling tools
  • Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related fields
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems creatively
  • Experience working directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, deploy, and optimize machine learning models in production environments
  • Experience with machine learning, graph analytics, and data analysis

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy machine learning models aimed at preventing various types of fraud in fintech applications
  • Support the development of risk mitigation strategies and interventions that balance security and user experience
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their fraud challenges and deliver high-impact, data-driven solutions
  • Refine risk metrics, enhance datasets, and measure the causal impact of fraud prevention initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to scale models into production and continuously optimize their performance
  • Standardize modeling workflows and contribute to the development of best practices within the team
  • Promote a data-first mindset across internal teams and client engagements to ensure clarity and impact
