The Microsoft Azure Host Networking and Hardware Acceleration team is building a reliable and high-performance cloud network. We develop and maintain the infrastructure that connects physical hardware to virtual machines, with a focus on Linux platforms and hardware innovation. We’re seeking a Data Scientist who enjoys solving technical challenges and using data to improve both our products and processes.
Requirements
- Experience debugging, supporting, or managing production servers.
- 1+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
Responsibilities
- Develop solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) to support recommendation systems
- Analyze new types of network data to uncover patterns
- Generate insights from operational data
- Support resolution of high-priority customer issues

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or govenment security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
