GM's Long-Term Forecasting (LTF) team needs to develop analytics-driven solutions to inform leadership decision-making and shape GM's future by developing long-term sales forecasts.
Requirements
- Proficiency in applying analytics to Forecasting, Planning, Sales/Marketing, Market/Customer Research, Finance, or equivalent field is preferred
- Proficiency in analytical languages/databases/tools such as Python, SQL, NoSQL(Hadoop, Casandra), Knime, Databricks, Tableau, and Power BI
- Statistical regression modeling, probability analysis, and risk analysis is preferred
- Proven track record of applied analytics
Responsibilities
- Apply data science and modeling techniques to solve complex business problems, streamline processes, and inform decision-making
- Push the bounds of traditional methods with innovative approaches
- Preprocess structured and unstructured data
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- Craft ad-hoc reports and share findings and recommendations with business partners
- Contribute to special projects that receive high visibility
- Continuous improvement of processes, methodologies, and tools

- Bachelor’s degree required with a major in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent training

- This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.
