Energy Aspects is looking to enhance its data offerings and capabilities by hiring a Data Scientist to work closely with their natural gas, power, and emissions teams, modeling fundamental energy supply and demand.
Requirements
- Ability to write production level code with an excellent understanding of best practices, including regression and timeseries forecast models.
- Understanding of code life cycle best practices (package management, code reusability, version control, and cloud deployment).
- Ability to build efficient queries across complex data models, understand and update existing data models in SQL or timeseries databases.
- Excellent statistical analysis skills.
- Ability to design new data models with SQL.
- Use of cloud data platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
- Basic knowledge of Docker, Airflow, Github.
Responsibilities
- contribute to the full cycle of our work, from data mining, building and maintaining models to assisting with analysis
- Taking full ownership of projects, from data collection to modeling and deployment.
- Managing, running and improving existing fundamental models in response to analyst requests.
- Proposing and implementing market models.
- Delivering model results to clients via our portal and API.
- modeling, data visualisation and the automation of our data processing.
- work closely with our global data team to maximise re-use and ensure the data and model standards in New York work with our global solutions.
