Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data analysis/data mining tools
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Pytorch, Jax, LangChain, LangGraph, or AutoGen
- Experience working with high-performance, large-scale ML systems
- Knowledge of language modeling with transformers
- Experience with symbolic planning, causal reasoning, and model-based reinforcement learning
- Experience with large-scale ETL processes
- Familiarity with LLM-based agents and risk mitigation strategies
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement goal setting and decomposition mechanisms for autonomous agents in uncertain or open-ended environments
- Design and develop dynamic planning systems, including hierarchical planning, curriculum learning, and self-refinement loops
- Collaborate on memory, tool-use, and feedback-loop designs to enable multi-step, self-directed agent behaviors
- Develop evaluation frameworks to ensure alignment with human intent, consistency, and progress on long-term objectives
- Prototype agents capable of interfacing with APIs, servers, search engines, databases, and real-world actuators for safe and efficient goal pursuit
- Explore mechanisms to detect and mitigate issues such as goal misalignment, looping behaviors, or emergent undesirable strategies
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate safety, alignment, and operational reliability measures into AI systems
Other
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in research, ML engineering, or applied research roles focused on AI solutions
- 2+ years of experience leading the development of AI/ML systems
