The primary area of responsibility for this role is to support the development of Gen AI use case covering various areas of Risk Management like Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions, Credit Risk, Operational Risk etc. However, depending on candidate experience, the role will also cover additional areas of responsibility including model development for credit risk models and other areas of regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of work experience building GenAI use cases, data modeling, statistical analysis, and relevant computing requirements.
- Hands on experiences with Prompt engineering and Retrieval Augmented Generation (including ingesting, chunking, embedding and retrieval)
- Familiar with agentic design patterns e.g. reflection, tooluse, memory management
- Strong understanding of evaluation methodologies and metrics of GenAI models
- Proficient in Python and familiar with relevant frameworks e.g. LangChain
- Experience in producing documentation in a highly regulated environment
- Experience working with model risk management in the model validation process.
Responsibilities
- Developing models using machine learning (ML), statistical, and other quantitative methods and supporting implementation of both Vendor and internally developed models.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational workflows and identify opportunities for enhancement through GenAI—whether via code-based automation or leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) for tasks such as summarization, classification, or conversational interfaces.
- Partner with Technology, Data, and Enterprise GenAI platform teams to ensure seamless transition of proof-of-concept models into scalable production environments, adhering to governance and performance standards.
- Respond to business-driven requests by translating requirements into actionable solutions, communicating methodologies clearly, and securing necessary approvals for implementation.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for GenAI use case, addressing validation, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage feedback and findings from internal and external reviews, ensuring timely resolution and compliance.
- Continuously build domain knowledge in the business areas where GenAI use cases are applied, enabling more contextual and impactful model development.

- PhD. degree with project work in GenAI use cases can be considered in lieu of the work experience requirement.
- Strong verbal communication skills required with an ability to successfully communicate analytic results, business insights and resulting business implications to non-technical business partners.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues who have a background in statistics, database development/maintenance, or information technology.
- Experience in banking preferred but not required.
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week. Hybrid in Boston MA 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.
